You cannot talk about classic U.S. cartoons without talking about Hanna Barbera.

You cannot talks about Hanna Barbera without talking about The Flintstones, The Jetsons, Yogi Bear, Top Cat, Wacky Races, etc.

Then, you have to bring true veterans of the animation industry like Willie Ito and Tony Benedict to talk about those early days when hand-made animation really meant hand-made and creating a new episode of a series a week was a true test of endurance and sanity.

Cosplay Competition at Sakura Con 2014

The Cosplay Competition at Sakura Con was divided into two main categories: Skits and Walk-Offs.

As their names denote, first we had all the people that either danced, sang or prepared a small act while showing-off their costumes. During the walk-off part of the competition, the participants just walked on a runway like in a fashion show.

We got late to the skit part of the competition (sorry, we were in the autographs line) so we only recorded the last fourteen skits, but we got the entire walk-off event (all 30 of them!) and the awards ceremonies as well.

We love Sriracha but if you were to blindfolded me, I couldn't tell you that chili on the popcorn was Sriracha. The chili to popcorn ratio is good and I enjoyed eating it but I don't see myself getting one of these bags on a regular basis.

DragonCon Starts Now!

Here we are, back in Atlanta to our beloved DragonCon. We missed last year's convention because we were moving to Seattle.

We have a full schedule and way too many panels to fit in only 4 days.

Not too many Cosplayers so far, but it is only 10am on the first day.

Nevertheless, we are super excited to be here. For today's schedule we have: Aliens 35th anniversary, Stories with George Lowe, Patrick Stewart, Land of the Lost 40th anniversary, and many others.
