Jet City Comic Show

Today we attended the Jet City Comic Show, our first convention since we arrived in Seattle. 

It was held at the Tacoma Convention Center, about 45 minutes from downtown Seattle.

The show only lasted one day but the quality of the exhibitors and the enthusiasm of the attendees made up of the small size of the convention.

The exhibitors room was contained in only one hall of the convention center. In there we found very nice artwork and a fair amount of regular exhibitors selling their wares. It was mostly U.S. comics (no Manga), vinyl toys,  and a good amount of independent artist not only graphic ones but you could find earrings, hats and clothing from the etsy-verse.

Overall, we enjoyed this as our first convention in Seattle very much.  Check out this pictures we took.

New Trailer for GITS Border: 2 Ghost Whispers

On Aug. 31, a new video for Ghost in the Shell: Arise - Border: 2 Ghost Whispers was released on the series’ official site. In the video, fans can see familiar characters like heroine Motoko Kusanagi and Batou, the man with the “sleepless eye.” Screenings of this new chapter in Ghost in the Shell: Arise will begin in Japan on Nov. 30.

Change of address

Hello all,

We are in the process of leaving our home base in Southern California to the beautiful city of Seattle, Washington.

The bad news is that this move is delaying the editing/posting of the videos from this year San Diego's Comic Con and we are going to miss our beloved DragonCon in Atlanta (single tear).

The good news is that we will be able to attend Seattle's Comic Con Emerald City and take a closer look at the SteamPunk scene.

We will definitely continue attending Los Angeles AnimeExpo, San Diego Comic Con and FANimeCon.

Our last decent meal for the next 4 days

After getting our badges we got together with our daughter at our favorite restaurant in Little Tokyo.

This will be our last "real" meal during AX; from this point forward it will be pizza, hotdogs and milky ways.

First 10 minutes of GITS: Arise

The good people at Bandai just released for streaming the first 10 minutes of the first part for the highly anticipated Arise movie.

Also, in resent news, Funimation got the rights for the distribution of the OAV series here in the United States. Congratulations!
