Dragon*Con'10 - George Lowe

We Love This Guy. If there is a panel at Dragon*Con that we have to go, it is definitely George Lowe's panel.

He is a great voice actor and very funny comedian. He is best known for his role as the voice of Space Ghost on the Cartoon Network/Adult Swim, talk show Space Ghost Coast to Coast, but he has lend his talent to many other series like Aqua Teen Hunger Force, Sealab 2021, Squidbillies and Fairly Odd Parents.

If you go to Dragon*Con next year, come to this panel, you will not be disappointed.

Dragon*Con'10 - The Great Akira Debate

What is your favorite release of Akira: Streamline's 1988 or Pioneer's 2001? It is a simple question, but with a very complex answer, it always brings the inner Otaku from people.

In the summer of 1989, I came to San Diego to visit my aunt, and on one of the weekends we went to the local video store (that is right, I am talking about VHS tapes) to rent a couple of movies. I picked up Akira out of sheer curiosity.

I watched this movie about 10 times during those two days, and I even made a copy of it to take it back home. This was my baptism into the wonderful world of Japanese Animation.

I compare the Streamline version of Akira to my first kiss: it was kind of weird at some moments, it was not perfect, and I wish I could have it done differently; but, it was my fist kiss, and I will not change it for anything. (See full panel)

Dragon*Con'10 - James Randi

James Randi has an international reputation as a magician and escape artist, but today he is best known as the world's most tireless investigator and demystifier of paranormal and pseudoscientific claims.

Can you read minds, move unanimated objects with your mind, defy gravity, find water with two sticks, guess how many jelly beans are in side a jar?

If you can, you can be the winner of the One Million Dollar Paranormal Challenge. You just need to be able to demonstrate your powers under proper observing conditions; you know, the scientific method, control environment; in other words, you are not allowed to bring your own jar of beans.
