Last year's opening ceremonies for AnimeExpo was held at the Petree Hall.

When I has a little bit disappointed we did not have this event at the Nokia theater, on the bright side, I think the guests of honor were able to feel the full range of emotions that 2,000+ attendees can convey when their favorite actor, directory, artist, etc. steps into the spot light.
